Beosound Balance Natura is a limited-edition speaker developed by Bang & Olufsen in collaboration with Italian natural stone brand Antolini. The product, which is part of Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier Bespoke offering, was launched during Milan Design Week.
Design and materials
The speaker consists of two main components: the audio unit and a pedestal base. The base is made from natural stone sourced from Antolini’s Exclusive and Precioustone Collections, including varieties of natural quartz and petrified wood such as Cristallo Iceberg, Cristallo Vitrum “Wow”, Cristallo Rosa “Wow”, Retro Grey, Retro Brown, and Retro Fancyblack.
The base elevates the speaker to a specific height that supports optimal sound delivery while also acting as a visual foundation. An anodised aluminium ring sits between the pedestal and speaker, separating the two components while maintaining material continuity. According to Bang & Olufsen Head of Design, Tiina Kierysch, the design team wanted to “create a seamless extension of the product by forming a clear sense of belonging between the speaker and its plinth. The brushed aluminium ring distinguishes the speaker from its pedestal while enhancing the dialogue between materials.”
Production and availability
Only 16 bespoke Beosound Balance Natura speakers have been produced, making this a highly collectible collection. But there are more products than just the speaker, such as a custom Beovision Theatre 55″ TV and a pair of Beolab 28 speakers, both of which are finished in Antolini’s Amazonite quartzite.
