FERNE, an outdoor and indoor furniture manufacturer from Poland, created a new collection of perforated furniture. Born out of fascination with architectural forms, the NEXO collection is designed with comfort in mind. Perforation as the central feature evokes both modernist and contemporary architectural facades. The pattern of elongated, rounded holes provides a feeling of weightlessness to plastic furniture pieces.
NEXO Collection
NEXO collection includes a table, a barstool, an armchair, and chairs with and without armrests. The mixture of functionality and striking design allows for a versatile use of the collection. NEXO can be used indoors and outdoors in public or private spaces. The collection made from durable, glass fibre–reinforced plastic makes the furniture pieces light and resistant to rain, wind, sun damage and other weather conditions.
NEXO Chair, Armchair and Chair with Armrest
Chairs are the backbone of the NEXO collection. Available as an armchair, with or without the armrest, every piece comes with ergonomic seats, smooth edge transitions and supportive backrests that ensure cosiness even during prolonged use. The perforations spanning throughout the chairs prevent water accumulation and promote airflow during hot summer months. In combination with its universal, adaptable forms, this makes the chair practical for outdoor use. The lightweight material and stackability ease storage and transportation.
The smallest chair of the group occupies L 490 x W 545 x H 810 mm of space. The chair with the armrest boasts L 595 x W 545 x H 810 mm, while the armchair’s dimensions are L 675 x W 620 x H 730 mm.
NEXO Bar Chair
Coming in dimensions of 515 × 500 × 1010 mm, the NEXO bar chair represents a contemporary twist on the classic bar seat. The facade-inspired trademark perforated design strengthens the collection’s links with architecture. Stable, light and most importantly comfortable, the chair is a perfect addition to both residential and commercial environments.
NEXO side table
Conceived as a complement to the NEXO chair collection, the NEXO side table features the collection’s signature perforated pattern. Just like the other pieces, the table is informed by architectural motifs and aims to strike a balance between functionality and visual appeal. The NEXO side table is also made from durable weather-proof material, extending the possibility of use from indoors to gardens, patios, terraces or public spaces.
Premiere at the Warsaw Home Furniture fair
All items come in six colour options: denim blue, carbon, pop yellow, senza, wine ink and light or agate grey. NEXO will premiere during the Warsaw Home Furniture trade fair that was held between October 22 and 25, 2026, at Ptak Warsaw Expo. NEXO by Ferne has won the SIT Furniture Design Award in the Garden Furniture category.
