Otiora, a young brand, has introduced a new category of pet furniture designed for homes that are both design-forward and environments shared by humans and pets. Rooted in architectural thinking and a Scandinavian aesthetic, Otiora creates pieces that allow pets to feel at home while ensuring the interior design remains intentional, elevated and beautifully composed.
Design-led pet living
With its debut collection of nine SKUs (stock keeping units, which basically means distinct sellable products), Otiora reflects on what a home where pets’ needs are considered from the get-go when deciding the interior design might look like, showing their conclusions in the series of pieces launched. Each piece is conceived as a spatial study of instinct and interaction, balancing form, function and material integrity.

From the sculptural ascent of Jazz to the architectural presence of Obelisk, the collection explores how pets climb, scratch, observe and rest within a modern living environment. At the centre is Domi, a cat house inspired by the lattice structure of a dome: its curved, perforated form is designed to filter light, create a sense of enclosure and offer a quiet, protective space for rest. Each piece is handcrafted and customisable in colour, material, size and scale.

Design approach
Developed by a group of European designers, including both Yingjie Liang, founder of YINGJIE DESIGN, and Jeffrey Wade, Otiora applies a rigorous, design-first methodology typically reserved for high-end furniture and industrial design. The collection draws from Scandinavian principles (clarity of form, material honesty and purposeful construction), resulting in pieces that are both visually refined and highly functional.
“Otiora was created to bring architectural thinking into the way we design for pets, considering structure, proportion and behaviour as part of a unified whole,” the design team notes. “Each piece is intended to exist naturally within a space, not outside of it.”

Sustainability, safety and material integrity
Otiora is committed to environmentally responsible and pet-friendly production. Materials were carefully selected for safety and durability, adhering to internationally recognised standards:
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100: Textile safety.
- GRS 4 (Global Recycled Standard): Verified recycled content.
