Drafted in 2003, LeBron James has the longest career in NBA history, now entering his 24th season in basketball’s most competitive league. To commemorate his latest season and help young athletes find their own way, LeBron and Nike Basketball launched LeBron 24, his lightest game shoe ever.

LeBron’s lightest shoe yet

LeBron 25 opens a new chapter in one of Nike Basketball’s most enduring signature lines. Adjusted to the demands of today’s game, the shoe brings a sharper and more responsive profile while keeping the shoe’s weight to a minimum. The new expression of LeBron’s explosive performance encourages the next generation of hoopers to carve out their own legacy.

“We made my lightest signature game shoe yet for the speed of today’s game, but the bigger idea is helping young athletes take what I’ve learned and use it to chase greatness in their own way, whatever that means to them.”

Five principles leading to success

Boasting the recognisable identity of the LeBron franchise, the shoe is organised around five principles that young athletes can follow to build their own path to success.

  1. Wonder:  represents the belief and confidence to envision what’s possible
  2. Family: the support and strength of the family that helps you along the way
  3. Fear: turning uncertainty into resilience and motivation
  4. Luck: realisation that there is no luck without hard work. Only through discipline, consistency, and work do opportunities emerge.
  5. Discovery: Self-awareness and development precede external success.

These lessons will be translated into several colourways, the first of which is named Stars. Rendered in blue shades, the Stars colourway embodies the first principle, drawing inspiration from the Northeast Ohio Shooting Stars (aka Akron Shooting Stars), a formative AAU team from LeBron’s childhood. Other principles will be represented in the upcoming colourways, inviting young athletes to create their own journey to success by following lessons from LeBron’s outstanding career.

Breathable KingKnit uppers and Air Zoom cushioning

LeBron 24 features a unique KingKnit construction made of a specific combination of yarns to deliver lightness, breathability and strength. Central to LeBron 24 design, the KingKnit also ensures containment hoppers need for quick cuts, explosive takeoffs, and directional changes. A full-length React foam drop-in midsole system is accompanied by the Air Zoom units at the forefoot and heel. A midfoot shank adds support and a new traction pattern that provides better grip on the court.

“The game keeps getting faster, and we designed the LeBron 24 to meet that moment. Our new KingKnit material innovation delivers a strong, breathable upper that helps contain the foot through explosive movement. It’s innovation that makes the shoe feel light, fast and secure, giving the next generation a tool to support their game while they write their own story.”

Instead of encouraging younger athletes to inherit LeBron’s legacy, LeBron 24 focuses on experiences and choices they can follow to build their own career. The Nike LeBron 24 will become available on November 17, 2026, at nike.com and select retail stores.
