Milan Winter Olympics Ready: Team USA Steps Out in Confident, Graphic Uniforms

In just a few weeks, the world’s top winter athletes will gather in Cortina and Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, opening on February 6, 2026. As tradition continues, Team USA will step into the spotlight wearing custom-designed uniforms by Ralph Lauren, marking the brand’s 10th consecutive Olympic Games outfitting the team and nearly two decades of design partnership.

For this milestone edition, the collection draws inspiration from Milan, the global capital of fashion, while remaining firmly rooted in Ralph Lauren’s unmistakable American aesthetic. As David Lauren, Chief Branding and Innovation Officer at Ralph Lauren Corporation, explains, the designs reflect a dialogue between Italian elegance and American heritage.

“Our design philosophy has always been about creating dreams and telling stories through style, and these uniforms, both timeless and modern, reflect the passion, optimism, and relentless pursuit of excellence that embody the American spirit, ” David Lauren added.

The uniforms for the opening ceremony include a statement wool coat coming in a winter white shade, accompanied by wooden toggles inspired by American heritage. A delightful American flag intarsia wool turtleneck sweater is hidden below the coat, while tailored wool trousers complete the look. The team will wear a new set of uniforms for the closing ceremony, also designed by Ralph Lauren Corporation, on February 22.

Team USA closing ceremony uniforms

The closing ceremony uniforms take their cues from vintage ski racing kits, blending alpine heritage with modern performance style. Each Team USA athlete will wear a sporty, insulated colour-blocked puffer jacket, designed to deliver warmth without compromising on style and finished with bold Team USA graphics.

The look is anchored in a patriotic red, white, and blue palette, featuring a wool turtleneck sweater paired with crisp white utility trousers. Accessories complete the ensemble with intarsia-knit hats and mittens in red, white, and blue, a leather belt, and brown suede alpine boots accented by eye-catching red laces.

Reinforcing the collection’s national identity, both ceremonial kits are proudly designed and manufactured in the United States.
