Meet Adidas’ New Strength Training Apparel Collection

Adidas Training has just launched SS25 adidas Optime, a new squat-proof apparel collection designed specifically for strength training. With zero transparency and total elasticity, this collection lets users move however they want without being afraid of rips or other unfortunate situations, something only made possible by using advanced materials and adidas’ latest performance technologies.

The collection was born from feedback, as it gives an answer to a common challenge among gym-goers: research shows that three-quarters experience clothing-related distractions during workouts, affecting their performance and confidence. SS25 adidas Optime is, therefore, designed to address these issues by offering a balance of coverage, flexibility, and breathability—plus, the line looks really good, too.

As her first campaign with adidas Training, entrepreneur and philanthropist Antonela Roccuzzo debuts the collection, joining adidas partners such as CrossFit athlete Laura Horvath and fitness coach Julie Jaws Nelson. The sports clothing line has been tested in high-intensity workouts led by Les Mills and Tonehouse instructors to ensure it meets the demands of strength training.

The collection includes 4-inch and 5-inch shorts and 7/8 leggings, all pure ruby and made from recycled materials. Furthermore, the designs were designed following adidas’ latest apparel “Hinnovations“:

  • ADIMOVE 2.0 and Lycra Sport material for squat-proof coverage, four-way stretch, and lasting shape retention.
  • CLIMACOOL technology for moisture management, keeping athletes cool and dry during workouts.
  • Functional design elements include a high waistband and side panels for a secure fit and a side stash pocket for convenience.

Speaking about the new collection, Aimee Arana, adidas Global General Manager Sportswear & Training, said: “It’s our continued ambition at adidas Training to support all our athletes in realizing their strength, which fundamentally begins and ends with the products we create. Knowing that strength training continues to be the fastest-growing workout type amongst the next generation, we set out to design apparel—such as the squat-proof Optime—that will allow the training community to reach their goals with confidence. We are proud and excited to add another strength-tailored solution—unveiled by our latest adidas Training partner, Antonela Roccuzzo—to our portfolio, so we can continue to ensure our athletes have the best support and experience when working out.”
