For more than 50 years, Italian furniture brand Dieffebi has been creating innovative solutions for offices and shared spaces. In response to the growing shift towards remote work, the company has recently turned its attention to home office furniture. Its latest proposition combines a functional working desk with a complementary sideboard, made in collaboration with Elisa Ossino and 967 arch.
Dieffebi’s modular, acoustic, home office design
For decades, Dieffebi has collaborated with designers to create innovative work systems that are practical, modular and ergonomic. Recently, the company has turned its attention to the home office concept. With the rise of remote work, finding the perfect furniture piece that can seamlessly accommodate both work and everyday life has become a pressing issue.
To keep up with these changing habits and the increasing importance of work-life balance, the company has been changing its design codes. At the same time, new concepts were introduced, offering both visual and acoustic comfort to customers. Dieffebi’s modular designs ensure that you can easily organise spaces for different contexts due to their versatility. Tables, lockers, desks, chairs, and storage units can be easily rearranged to furnish workspaces, business areas, meeting rooms, and lounges.
Primo Tex
The Primo Tex sideboard by 967 arch is a modular storage system made of a recyclable sheet metal structure. The sideboard is enhanced with hinged doors crafted from composite wood and medium-density fibreboard (MDF) panels. MDF panels are painted with nontoxic pigments, providing a matte aesthetic. Its unusual but pleasant, textured, uneven finish gives the sideboard a welcoming, domestic look and feel. Originally designed as a cabinet, Primo is transformed into a sideboard while keeping the original design’s versatility and features.
Franny desk by Elisa Ossino
Franny desk by Elisa Ossino features a delicate, soft aesthetic. The defining characteristic of the desk is its large, sound-absorbing fabric panel that envelops the entire home office workstation. The panel that spans from the floor can come in round, rectangular or square shapes. Apart from its evident decorative value, the panel provides both a visually and acoustically private corner.
The desk shielded by the panel features a simple minimalist design. A painted light tubular metal frame can host one or two drawers suspended on either side of the piece, below the desk top. Measuring 1200 x p 600 x h 743 mm, the Franny desk comes in several colour options and fabrics. Buyers can choose between nine top colours with five frame colours, while the panel upholstery comes in 18 different fabric options.
