Celebrate This Holiday Season with a Touch of Marimekko Magic gifts

Celebrate This Holiday Season with a Touch of Marimekko Magic

There is usually one person at Christmas lunch who insists that everything on the table should match. Marimekko’s holiday 2026 collection gives the rest of us a good argument for mixing things up.  The simple joy of togetherness, traditions we return to and the inviting atmosphere of the seasonal mood are spiced with Marimekko’s signature bold prints and playful design features. The collection offers whimsical storytelling to tablescapes, sumptuous textiles that call for unwinding, style inspiration for festive gatherings and thoughtful gift ideas for family, friends and loved ones.

Celebrate This Holiday Season with a Touch of Marimekko Magic table

The art of table setting

The good plates deserve more than one outing a year, particularly when they look like these. Maija Isola’s Unikko, Erja Hirvi’s Kukasta kukkaan and Aino-Maija Metsola’s Kurre appear across Marimekko’s holiday tableware in earthy browns, emerald green and winter berry reds. Anyone who enjoyed the Artek + Marimekko furniture collection will recognise how readily Isola’s patterns move between materials. Here, they give the Christmas table enough character to make a complicated centrepiece feel rather unnecessary.

The richly textured mouthblown Syksy goblets designed by Matti Klenell are introduced in a new pairing of clear glass and sculptural colored stems in emerald green and ruby red. The tactile surface subtly diffuses light, while the colored base adds a bold yet balanced contrast to its clean design, making each piece both functional and expressive.

Unwinding and everyday comfort

From small, everyday essentials to pampering must-haves, each piece is designed to bring timeless value and a spark of joy to our everyday rituals.

In bed and bath, Unikko takes the lead in rich holiday tones across bedlinen and bath products. These pieces make thoughtful gifts while helping to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere at home – ideal for slowing down during the festive season.

To enhance the season’s sense of warmth, new Unikko candle holders in hues of delicate pink, burgundy and subtle gold are joined by three-dimensional Unikko candles, adding sculptural charm to any setting.

Rebekka Bay’s Favourite Festive Looks

For Marimekko Creative Director Rebekka Bay, the holiday selection also includes a silk shirt and skirt in Masaru Suzuki’s ornamental Kukkahattu floral print. Bright red, gold and orange make this one for anyone who is pleased to have an occasion to dress up.

Her other picks include the 1960s-inspired Marimekko Marimini dress, featuring Maija Isola’s diagonal Basso stripe in black-on-black. Bay suggests wearing it alone or layering it over a white-on-white Unikko shirt, allowing the patterns to register through their surfaces as much as their colours.
