Outdoor lighting illuminates spaces, highlights architectural elements and defines their relationship with the landscape. Executed in a range of styles, Platek’s wall-mounted solutions fulfil all three functions. Ranging from ornamental and expressive to minimal and technical, Platek’s new lighting fixtures deliver high performance and precise light control.

Airliner and Astral Trellis by Jan Van Lierde

Named Airliner, Astral Trellis, Eterea, Linebreak, Mini One, Rippling and Sister Ray, the lighting solutions were developed by the international designers jointly with Platek’s R&D (Research and Development) department. Airliner and Astral Trellis, designed by Jan Van Lierde, reimagine lighting as a graphic element.

Astral Trellis projects patterns of light on the surrounding surface, creating a constantly changing atmosphere. Airliner disrupts the clean architectural lines through irregular light segments that create a sense of movement.

Eterea by DaBù

Eterea, designed by DaBù, reimagines the classic lantern design by stripping it to its essentials. Eterea’s intangible form appears to be made entirely of light. The luminaire offers two installation options: ground placement or wall mounting. With its subtle, almost invisible form, Eterea is an excellent choice for gardens, porticoes and terraces.

Linebreak by Jan Van Lierde

Jan Van Lierde also designed Linebreak and Rippling, two lighting fixtures that combine shape, materiality and landscape. Linebreak glows in a linear, asymmetrical manner. The light can be focused in two directions, integrated discreetly between vegetation and architectural forms.

Rippling by Jan Van Lierde

As its name suggests, Rippling diffuses light into delicate ripples, making every piece one-of-a-kind. With a texture of handmade Venetian glass, the light creates a never-ending interplay of reflections and shadows.

Sister Ray by Christian Flindt

The compact shape of Sister Ray is combined with light that visually extends its outline. Designed by Christian Flindt, the fixture is available in two sizes, both featuring single or bidirectional light. The light source is located in the back, ensuring visual comfort. Evenly-spaced ridges provide a refined, tactile texture.

Mini One by Platek’s R&D Department

Finally, Mini One, the last from the series, is designed by Platek’s own R&D Department. Unlike others from the collection that feature an undeniable ornamental quality, Mini One is characterised by a more technical, minimalist approach. Mini One integrates the light into the architecture. Its discrete presence allows the light to add character to the space. Mini One is specifically designed for environments in which precision, visual continuity and controlled lighting are the key requirements.

Every wall-mounted lighting piece creates a specific relationship with the wall, turning it into a design element. Shadows, patterns, and reflections create an interplay on the wall surface that also serves as a discreet backdrop for precise, controlled illumination.
