Air Zoom and ZoomX cushioning system
An exposed curved Air Zoom represents the heart of Nike Pegasus Plus 2. Located at the forefoot, the cushioning drastically changes how the shoe feels and performs. Complimented with a bouncy, lightweight ZoomX foam midsole, the system results in maximum speed and 18 % more energy return than its predecessor – Pegasus Plus. Careful positioning of the cushioning system ensures smooth, propulsive running.
Engineered to deliver a comfortable, versatile ride, the Pegasus Plus 2 is a great fit for users who need a shoe that performs across run types. The curvature of the Air Zoom unit creates a natural, uninterrupted rhythm with every step flowing seamlessly into the next. Inner tensile fibres act like springs that return a part of the energy users invest in the run.
Carefully calibrated, the MR10 2.0 last three-dimensional foot mould, initially introduced in the Pegasus 42, resulting in a more comfortable toe box and forefoot. The midfoot system secures the foot for additional comfort. Elevated materials around the ankle protect the runner, while the modern waffle outsole with flex zones rounds out the design.
Approved by over 30 athletes
Pegasus Plus 2 was tested by over 30 Nike athletes, including marathoners and elite track and field athletes. The Nike Sport Research Lab evaluated the runners’ movement and comfort to help deliver the best experience. The consistent experience is ensured through precise pressure tuning of Air Zoom units and adapted construction across sizes.
