Eera, a new lounge chair designed by Marco Zito for Bross furniture, represents the continuation of his stylistic research. Zito’s vision is embodied in his trademark combination of diverse materials such as wood, textiles, and metal while achieving a high versatility of use. The result is a familiar, yet uniquely designed, lounge chair that can be used in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Lightweight wooden seating with metal support
Eera is a lounge seat, designed for residential and hospitality exterior and interior spaces. The form of Eera is defined with a tubular metal frame, which additionally connects the seating area and the backrest with the legs. Legs, on the other hand, extend upwards to create an armrest, which comes in two material options:
- ash wood for the indoor settings
- and an iroko version for the outdoor environment
A lightweight structure carries seat and backrest elements also made of wood. Narrow, thin strips of wood alternate with voids in a rhythmical manner that’s visible on the back of the model.

Fully customizable three-part cushion
Padding is needed to complete the chair, and it comes in three meticulously shaped and segmented parts. Each part corresponds to a different segment of the frame: the seat, the backrest, and the headrest. The padding is enveloped with a different fabric on each side to create a double-face effect. The cushioning changes character depending on the choice of texture and hues. A delicate texture paired with a more prominent one, a pastel tone, a neutral shade, or a juxtaposition of bold colours creates a different aesthetic. The padding that freely rests on the frame can be fully reversible and arranged to suit the user.
Bross: Contemporary Italian design
Designs by Bross embody the Italian company’s two greatest loves:
- the love of natural materials (particularly wood), which is the base of their designs
- and the strong international vocation.
Since 1981, the furniture brand has produced exclusive collections of chairs, tables, stools, cabinets, upholstered furniture, and furnishing accessories, in collaboration with international designers. Bross collections can be adapted to any space or architectural project as they are composed of a series of customizable elements. Although rooted in tradition, Bross design remains flexible, clean, and projected towards the future.
Created through an experiment with shapes and materials, Eera is a lightweight and ergonomic lounge chair designed for use in a variety of environments. Expressed through a wide spectrum of finishes and technical options, the chair adapts seamlessly to different spaces and functional contexts.
