Five International Furniture Fairs You Can’t Afford to Miss in 2026

Furniture fairs are more than mere exhibitions of desks, ottomans, and sofas. They are the places where designers, manufacturers, media, and buyers create relationships and future market trends. Nothing helps shape the state of furniture design as much as having its most talented representatives conveniently located in one place. If you want to know the hot new things on the market, or are just looking to buy a new table for your kitchen, grab a chair… I mean a ticket to one of these renowned furniture design fairs.

SaloneSatellite

SaloneSatellite invites young designers right out of college to explore the fabric of contemporary living. By focusing solely on designers under 35, the salon is a perfect place for talent scouts looking for the most promising hopefuls. The fair was founded in 1998 by Marva Griffin Wilshire, who remains its Curator to this day. Throughout its 25 years of history, the fair hosted over 14,000 designers and 270 International Design Schools and Universities, many of which have gone on to create amazing careers. The International Jury ranks the competing projects to select three SaloneSatellite Awards and several Special Mentions. In recent times, the event has focused on environmental, social, and economic changes and how young designers respond to them. SaloneSatellite will be held between April 21 and 26, 2026, at Fiera Milano, Rho.

CIFF Guangzhou

1998 was a fruitful year for fairs as the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) was also established then. Over time, CIFF has taken place in Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Tianjin, becoming one of the most important events in the global furniture design scene. Almost 5,000 brands are showcasing their finest furniture, décor, textiles, machinery, and raw materials in the exhibition hall of 850,000 square meters. Over 380,000 professionals visit the fair on an annual basis. The upcoming 57th edition of the fair, slated for 2026, will consist of two phases. The first phase will take place between March 18 and 21 and will be dedicated to home texture, decor and outdoor/leisure, while the second phase, scheduled between March 28 and March 31, 2026, will present furniture for office and commercial spaces.

3daysofdesign

From museum classics to experimental, avant-garde designs, 3daysofdesign presents a mix of concepts and cross-design disciplines. Founded in 2013, the fair has gone from hosting only four brands to over 400 international and national participants. By hosting both emerging artists at the beginning of their careers and well-known designers, the event bridges the gap between generations and perspectives. The fair takes pride in the intimate atmosphere that is created, which favours presence over items, thus creating an immersive experience that taps into the collective consciousness. The fair’s captivating concept connects designers, press, enthusiasts, torchbearers, and tribalizers. Taking place in showrooms, studios, galleries, and indoor and outdoor venues around Copenhagen’s Design District, the event takes the best of both worlds – the design trends and the architectural and natural advantages of the city. 3daysofdesign 2026 will last from June 10 to 12, 2026, and will be free for visitors.
