BMW and Kith have revealed the next chapter in their ongoing partnership: the 2025 BMW XM by Kith. This limited-edition plug-in hybrid was born from the third collaboration between BMW M and Kith founder Ronnie Fieg. It was inspired by the legendary BMW M1, with only 47 units scheduled for production.

The BMW XM, BMW M’s first original model since the M1, incorporates M HYBRID drive technology, combining a V8 engine with electric components. The XM’s exterior pays homage to the M1 with features such as side accent strips, dual rear emblems, and louvre-inspired rear lights. Still, customers can also choose to include 23-inch M light-alloy wheels and Techno Violet accents on the inscriptions and Kith logos. Furthermore, the new car comes in two striking colors: the BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet metallic paint, developed exclusively for this model, and the BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic.

Inside, the BMW XM by Kith merges BMW’s high-performance aesthetic with Kith’s signature design motifs, with exclusive elements including illuminated “1/47” door sills, embossed Kith monogram leather, and custom widgets displaying the vehicle’s branding. The rear M Lounge allows customers to personalize the space even more, with embroidered cushions and purple lighting creating a cohesive ambiance. Furthermore, since the devil is in the details, each vehicle has a custom Kith duffle bag for its charging cables.

Showcasing the collaboration

The world premiere of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith took place recently at Art Basel Miami Beach, and, alongside the showstopper, BMW displayed two other vehicles: the 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept and a reconstructed 1981 BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg.

The BMW XM Kith Concept was a hit, and it is all due to its innovative elements: advanced lighting elements, including purple LED highlights, backlit Kith logos, custom side accents illuminated with 363 LED units, and a modified chassis with a lowered suspension and widened track.

The 1981 BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg was completely restored to connect the legacy of the M1 to the contemporary design language of the BMW XM, and the aftermath of the premiere proved that this was achieved. We are 100% sure that collectors worldwide can’t help but put this car on their Christmas list.

Kith for BMW Collection launch

In tandem with the new vehicles, a new Kith for BMW lifestyle collection will be released, drawing on BMW’s iconic design language and integrating colors like Techno Violet and Cinnabar Red. The apparel range includes Italian leather jackets, co-branded hoodies, vintage-inspired T-shirts, and various accessories such as driving gloves, license plates, and scale models.
