In July 2026, Kith and Nike issued a full family collection of one of their best-known collaborative shoes. 25 years after its debut on the Japanese market, the two brands unveiled the iconic Linen collection to the rest of the world.
From Japan to the world
Originally launched in 2001 on the Air Force 1 silhouette, the light brown leather shoe with pastel pink accents instantly became a sold-out item. In 2016, Kith and Nike reissued the collection to coincide with Art Basel Miami. Ten years later, and a quarter of a century from its debut, admirers of the Nike x Kith Linen Collection can get their hands on a high-demand colourway without resorting to resale.
One old and one new Linen silhouette
The newly released collection reimagines the original colourway on two silhouettes: The Air Force 1, the original shoe from the Japanese collection and a brand new Air Max 95 Linen silhouette. Together, the two designs blend technical innovation with a tribute to one of the 2000s’ most memorable colour palettes.
Kith for Nike Air Force 1 Un-Linen
Air Force 1 turns the original colour scheme upside down. Originally featured on the Swoosh, the pink pastel shade turns into a base colour, taking over the heel, toe box and both side panels. Once the dominant colour, brown now covers the outsole and the Nike logo. Much like a negative in photography, the shoe completely reverses the classic Linen colour palette.
Officially named Kith for Nike Air Force 1 Un-Linen features a premium nubuck upper, perforated toe box, custom dubrae and traction rubber outsole with circular tread pattern. Kith branding is present on the heel, tongue, and footbed, while the flat cotton laces tie both the shoe and design together. Additional elements include a white midsole and joint Kith for Nike Swoosh logos embroidered on the heel tabs.
The Kith for Nike Air Max 95 Linen
The Kith for Nike Air Max 95 Linen colour pattern resembles the original more. Uppers made from premium brown leather are accompanied by reflective heel counters and lace locks. The pastel pink accents grace the eyelets, lace loops, and the “Air bubbles”, the model’s signature visible air chambers in the midsole. The adult and Grade School sizes also sport an embossed Kith logo positioned on the medial side.
Both Kith for Nike Air Force 1 Un-Linen and Air Max 95 Linen are available in GS (Grade School), PS (Preschool) and TD (Toddler) sizes as well as adult sizes. The children’s sizes are individually numbered and limited to 1,982 pairs globally, honouring the birth year of Ronnie Fieg, Kith Founder, CEO & Creative Director. Unlike GS, PS, and TD children’s sizes, which are available immediately upon purchase, the adult sizes are made-to-order web exclusives. The production of the shoe can take up to four months upon ordering.
