The Halo lamp resembles exactly what its name stands for, so much so that it softly lightens up the space it is set in as if its glow is omnipresent. The designer, Riley Sanders from Astro Lighting, wanted to create a wireless piece that could be brought along as one moves around the home. Halo, therefore, brings warmth into any place while also blending itself in with any type of modern aesthetic, and all without a cord in sight.
The Halo Table Lamp consists of a circular base that gives way to a slender stem, all to support its ring-shaped shade where light sprouts from. The base is made from aluminium and features a tapered edge, making the piece sturdy and sleek. At the bottom, a USB-C port was placed to charge the lamp, a detail specifically added to ensure that it stays completely hidden whenever the piece is being used.
Following the stem upwards, one reaches the halo-like shade. This circular element is centerless, as it is from within that light makes its way to fill up the space around the lamp. To turn it on, one only needs to touch the shade and choose from four different levels of brightness—to each their own.
As comfort also stems from coherence, buyers are given the choice between three colours when making the purchase. Even though the Halo lamp fits in with any modern aesthetic, colour still matters, so the designers ensured that the matte black, matte white, and light bronze options offered any taste a run for their money.
