A deeper look at the details
The LC0358’s main feature is its beautiful glass discs. These are not simple, flat pieces of glass; they are textured and have an iridescent effect. This treatment creates a sophisticated play of light and shadow across their surfaces, changing depending on the viewing angle. Holding these discs in place is a durable metal frame with an elegant gold finish. The frame itself is a key part of the design’s character, offering both structure and a touch of warmth.
A light that moves with you
What makes this lighting so interesting is its built-in flexibility. The metal frame is adjustable, which means a person can change the angle and position of each glass disc. This allows the overall composition to be altered to fit different spaces or to create a new mood. The design can be arranged in a tall vertical line, a wide horizontal spread, or a flowing spiral shape. The source of the glow
The light comes from LEDs that are built directly into the fixture. They produce a soft, spread-out light that shines through the glass. This was a specific choice to emphasize the unique texture of the glass elements. The design itself was inspired by organic forms found in nature, like the shape of leaves or the look of a water surface.
The Lighting Composition LC0358 was recently recognized as a Winner in the Designer & Custom Lighting category at the SIT Furniture Design Awards.
