HOLY CUBE RALLY Route

HOLY CUBE RALLY will start in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, moving on to Slovakia, Austria, Czechia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, only to end yet again in Hungary, this time in the village of Zalahaláp. The 3,000-kilometre journey that leads the participants through the rich architectural and design heritage of this part of Europe strikes a balance between adrenaline driving and taking the time to slow down and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

From Alpine Roads to Architectural Schools

Following a strict no-highways rule, the trip will take the participants to globally known landmarks, crystal clear lakes, hidden design gems, quirky installations, pop and street art hotspots, and switchback roads. Some of the highlights of the trip include:

  • The Wotruba Church in Vienna, in its full brutalist glory
  • The Swiss CERN particle accelerator that bends the space-time continuum
  • Introduction to Modernist architecture in Dessau Bauhaus School
  • Exploring an iconic building of the Vitra Campus in Basel, Switzerland
  • A visit to the place of the greatest art event in Europe, the Venice Biennale.

The road trip will offer a special surprise secret concert and collaborative creation with contemporary artists, a visit to the Dune filming location, Alpine lakes and roads, sandstone rock towns, and many other exciting sidequests.

Our ultimate goal isn’t speed; it’s connection. We wanted to create a platform where creative minds with a passion for design, architecture, and art can find inspiration and build community through a shared adventure.”

Alea iacta est (The die is cast)

Although enjoyment and discovery are at the heart of the project, the HOLY CUBE RALLY, just like any other race, ends with a trophy. The Holy Cube Trophy will be awarded to the team that gathers the most points by solving one challenge after another. Intentionally shaped as a cube, which is the starting point of perspective and design, the trophy will be given to the highest-scoring team. To spice up the adventure further, the participants will be presented with a set of creative challenges to jolt them out of their routine.
