St. Michael’s Fortress is the first built and first renovated fortress in Šibenik, Croatia. The city walls surrounding and protecting Šibenik for centuries originated from the walls of St. Michael’s Fortress, with St. Michael being the city’s celestial protector from its earliest days. Positioned atop a high, steep rock, it dominates the old city core, offering a breathtaking view of St. Anthony’s Channel, the bay, and the mouth of the Krka River.
The fortress underwent renovation in 2014, featuring the construction of an attractive stage and grandstands with 1077 seats. In a short time, St. Michael’s Fortress has become an exclusive venue for hosting unique evening events, positioning Šibenik as one of the leading concert destinations in the region.
The tenth anniversary of St. Michael’s Fortress will be celebrated on May 28th with BADBADNOTGOOD, a Canadian instrumental band and production team from Toronto! This band has gained fame for its unique blend of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music, and quickly gained a reputation for its innovation and incredible live performances.
Formed in 2010, the band released their debut album, ‘BBNG’ the following year. They have since put out five more albums, including their most recent, 2021’s ‘Talk Memory’. The group has quickly gained a reputation for their innovative sound and captivating live performances.
In addition to their studio albums, BADBADNOTGOOD is renowned for their electrifying live performances. Their shows are a testament to their musical prowess, with each member showcasing their individual talents while maintaining a tight and cohesive sound. Their ability to captivate audiences with their improvisational skills and infectious energy has earned them a dedicated fan base around the world.
They have also collaborated with some of the biggest acts in hip hop, producing music for Wu-Tang Clan, Earl Sweatshirt, Mick Jenkins, Kendrick Lamar, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis, Tyler, the Creator and many more.
