When husband and wife duo Dan Vakhrameyev and Kateryna Vakhrameyeva founded +kouple in 2014, their vision was clear – to create minimalist, functional, and aesthetically refined objects that fit effortlessly into modern spaces. Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, the company has grown into one of the leading names in product design, known for its clean lines and purposeful simplicity. Their latest release, the Jeffrey lamp, is a prime example of their philosophy in action.
A lamp that does more than light up a room
The Jeffrey lamp doesn’t just offer illumination, it also helps create a more comfortable and pleasant environment. Made from recycled PET-felt, the lamp also serves as a sound-absorbing fixture, reducing noise levels and enhancing the ambiance of any space. Whether in an open-plan office, a cozy reading nook, or a bustling hospitality venue, this pendant lamp contributes to both visual and acoustic comfort.
Dan Vakhrameyev, the creative mind behind +kouple’s designs, brings his expertise in geometric forms and material innovation to the Jeffrey lamp. Its structured, layered look adds a striking visual element while maintaining a subtle presence that works in various interior settings.
A simple and modern design
What makes the Jeffrey lamp stand out is its balance between function and form. The sliced layers of PET-felt create a graphic, structured shape that feels modern yet timeless. Available in six colors – Black, Grey, Nut, Ultra Blue, Coral, and Forest – it easily adapts to different aesthetics, from industrial to Scandinavian-inspired interiors.
The lamp is also designed with practicality in mind. It features a GU10 socket for LED bulbs, ensuring energy efficiency and customizable lighting. The PVC cord extends up to two meters, providing flexibility in placement.
Sustainable and smart
Sustainability was very important when Jeffrey lamp’s design was being planned. PET-felt, made from recycled plastic, supports eco-conscious interior solutions by repurposing waste into functional design elements. Flat-pack delivery further enhances its sustainability, reducing shipping emissions and making transportation more efficient. Once unpacked, the lamp is easy to assemble into its full form.
A versatile solution for modern spaces
The Jeffrey lamp is a great option for offices, cafes, and public spaces where both lighting and acoustics matter. Its modular design allows for customization, with an optional panel that can be combined with multiple lamps to create larger installations.
Already making its mark in contemporary interiors, the Jeffrey lamp was recently installed in Kyiv’s Readellion Bookstore, demonstrating how lighting can be functional as well as environmentally responsible.
