Engineered at the intersection of technology and human comfort
By merging chair, desk and power supply into one furniture piece, the Different Lounge satisfies the needs of modern workers, where laptops and mobile devices have become an unavoidable part of everyday productivity. Designed to support every posture, the chair comes with three options:

Dynamic comfort approach
Humanscale used a dynamic comfort approach to create a system that can be adjusted to any situation with the touch of a button. The backrest and headrest are fully adjustable to make your work comfortable, whether reclining into focus or sitting upright for a conference call. The synchronised recline mechanism supports the spine’s natural curvature from fully upright through full recline. Decades of ergonomic research ensured perfect support across numerous postures that no conventional lounge chair can match.
Adjustable worksurface and Built-In USB-C type power ports
The wooden worksurface is attached to the right side of the lounge. Mounted on a two-point pivoting arm, the workspace is sized for a laptop and fully adjustable. It can be placed in front of the user during work hours or rotated to the side and tucked neatly alongside the chair. The integrated USB-C Type ports allow user to charge their phones and laptops without extension cords. The lower port provides up to 30W of power, enough to charge phones and tablets, while the upper port provides up to 140W of power and can be used for laptops and other energy-intensive devices.
The user can seamlessly charge their devices without leaving the workstation to look for the nearest outlet. With over 352 finish combinations, the chair offers a great opportunity for customisation. The user can pick from a variety of high-quality materials such as leather, performance textiles, and solid wood. A COM/COL capability allows customers to provide the fabric and leather they want, thus personalising the chair further. The upholstery comes in several options, each tested for durability, colourfastness, and abrasion.
Different Lounge merges chair, workspace and power into a single environment, reducing spatial demands. The compact solution can fit into areas where conventional desking cannot, including offices and airport lounges, but also wellness centres and focus zones. Different Lounge was recognised as the best Lounge Chair at the SIT Furniture Design Awards, which honours the best of the best in furniture design.
