Header: Oui Design!
The fourth edition of Oui Design! Festival is dedicated to the enduring legacy and contemporary spirit of French design. Organised by Villa Albertine as part of NYCxDESIGN, the festival will run simultaneously with The Official New York City Design Week. The festival’s program includes panel discussions, exhibitions, open studios, and special citywide events.

Villa Albertine’s Design & Craft Residency Exhibition
Weeklong exhibition staged at Villa Albertine’s Payne Whitney Mansion is the central event of the festival. The show will present artworks by Villa Albertine’s Design & Craft Residency laureates and former residents, many on view in the US for the first time. The list of participants includes:
- Lily Alcaraz & Léa Berlier – Textile designers who turn paper, leather, and wood into woven fabrics
- Atelier Monier – A crafts atelier specialising in chair making
- Yassine Ben Abdallah – Artist exploring cultural and political legacies found in objects
- Nicolas Pinon – Contemporary lacquer artist bridging tradition and innovation
- Céline Salomon – Ceramic designer uniting architecture and nature
- Sophia Taillet – Designer working across steel, glass, and mixed media
- Juliette Tellier – Transdisciplinary designer, prolific in anthropology and craft
- Frantz Wehrlé – Decorative painter known for transforming living spaces into true works of art
- Xolo Cuintle – Art duo Romy Texier and Valentin Vie Bine turn concrete into almost vegetal design

Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios designed the immersive scenography that gives motion and spirit to the display. His distinctive cross-disciplinary approach resulted in a powerful environment spanning design, craft, and contemporary culture.


The event will begin on Thursday, May 14, 2026, with several opening receptions. The Andree Putman Studio organised a cocktail reception to celebrate the opening of its NYC workspace. The visitors will be able to discover a selection of re-editions and new editions developed by the studio, and a curated selection of archival interior and product designs. Maison Parisienne Gallery will open an exhibition dedicated to French featherwork artist Julien Vermeulen.

Harry Nuriev‘s collection will be presented at The world of Zénith show, at Baccart, while Féau Boiseries wood panelling will host a gallery tour with Guillaume Féau. The following day will start with a panel discussion covering the life and work of French painter Guy de Rougemont at Villa Albertine. To Enchant The Eye: The Luminous Color of Jean Royère exhibition will open in the Royère gallery.


Weekend program
Amélie du Chalard Gallery celebrates the opening of Photon, a solo show by Paris-based artist Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert. Group shows titled New Artists & Works and In My Dreams All the Furniture is Dancing will open at the Twenty First Gallery and the American Thread Building, respectively. Sunday is slated to host ICFF talks on design and the art of making. Open studio at Le Studio Anthost allows visitors to see behind-the-scenes events and the studio’s new collection.

Final days: Exhibition and discussions
ETĒLINE will showcase a selection of its collectables, furniture, and decorative objects on Monday, May 18, 2026. On Tuesday, the Todd Merrill Studio Tour will be followed by a Talk on French Excellence with Joséphine Theet and Ateliers De France NY Studio.
Finally, on Wednesday, May 20, the visitors will be able to enjoy Osanna Visconti’s debut exhibition with the New York gallery Maison Gerard. The additional program of the last day includes Prelle & Verrier open showrooms, The Cultivated Eye exhibit at Galerie Gabriel, and a panel discussion dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Art Deco.

With a series of programs, talks, and exhibitions, Oui Design! continues a conversation between American art enthusiasts and the French creative community, started four years ago with its debut edition.
