LEGO and Crocs Launch a Brick-Shaped Shoe for Collectors

Header: LEGO

The world of footwear design just got a lot more rectangular. On 23 January 2026, the LEGO Group and Crocs announced a massive multi-year global deal, and they are starting with a shoe that looks less like a typical clog and more like something you would find at the bottom of a toy box. The bright red LEGO Brick Clog is the first big release of the year, and it is certainly making people stop and look. Instead of the rounded, organic curves we usually see on a pair of Crocs, this shoe uses the sharp, oversized lines of a classic two-by-four LEGO brick to create a silhouette that stands out on any shelf.

Building a shoe from the ground up

The design stays true to the exact proportions of a real LEGO brick, just scaled up to fit a human foot. On the top of each shoe, you will find four large studs, each stamped with the famous LEGO logo. Even the bottom of the shoe has been changed to match the theme, featuring a brick-like outsole that looks just like the underside of a building block. To keep the shoes on, the designers added an angular version of the classic Crocs heel strap. While most Crocs are known for being the go-to choice for comfort, the makers are being very honest about this specific pair, noting that these massive, clown-scale collectables are not actually meant for all-day wear.

Materials and hidden extras

Despite the stiff, plastic look, the shoes are actually made from the same squishy material as standard Crocs. They use a rubbery plastic foam calledCroslite. This means that while they look like hard plastic toys, they are still lightweight, easy to wash, and quick to dry. Perhaps the most charming part of the package is what comes inside the box. Every person who buys a pair also gets a LEGO minifigure. This tiny character comes with its own set of four miniature Crocs, so you and your toy can match.

A long-term creative partnership

Satwik Saraswati from the LEGO Group explains that this is more than just one shoe but about helping people show off their own style with pride.

“The LEGO Group and Crocs have come together to celebrate people’s bold and unapologetic creativity. Our common mission to enable self-expression and wear it with pride only marks the beginning of a journey with endless possibilities. We cannot wait for the rest of the world to join us and build together with us.”

This partnership is expected to include the largest collection of licensed Jibbitz charms ever released for Crocs, giving fans endless ways to decorate their regular footwear. The brands see themselves as a perfect match because both the LEGO “System-in-Play” and the Crocs clog act as blank canvases for people to experiment with. Whether for adults or children, the goal is to encourage people to play with their fashion and stand out from the crowd.

“The LEGO Group’s boundless imagination makes them the perfect match to Crocs’ wonderfully unordinary spirit. We are both brands that pride ourselves in being built different, in celebrating self-expression and in fueling creativity. I can’t wait for our fans to see what we’re creating together – we’ve truly broken the mould in a way that we never have before.”

Carly Gomez, Chief Marketing Officer, Crocs

Launch details and global reach

Set to hit shelves on 16 February 2026, the shoes will be available globally through the official websites of both brands. In the UK, the price tag is £199.99, while fans in Europe and the US will see prices of €199.99 and $149.99. This launch is just the beginning of a very busy year for the two companies. Following this first drop, a second collection is already planned for later this spring. The partnership will also bring select in-store experiences to major markets worldwide, allowing fans to see the designs in person.

The LEGO Brick Clog is a daring experiment in geometry and nostalgia. It takes the most recognisable toy in the world and turns it into a piece of fashion that refuses to be ignored. While it might not be the shoe you choose for a long walk in the park, it succeeds as a collector’s item that captures the spirit of both brands. It is a reminder that design does not always have to be serious; sometimes, it just needs to be fun.
