Established in 2010 by Gaspare Asaro and now led by his son, Vittorio, the company of the same name as the original founder handcrafts original lighting and tables in Milan and Florence, Italy.

Vittorio, now 37, joined the company when he was 26 and has spent the last five years carrying on his father’s vision while simultaneously bringing a new, more modern point of view and aesthetic to the designs.

The studio’s production process is deeply rooted in its long-standing relationships with a small circle of trusted artisans, many of whom operate outside typical online networks. This uniquely Italian ecosystem of generational skills has been fostered over decades, and it directly influenced the directions Gaspare Asaro‘s newest collections have taken.

The Orchid Collection

The Orchid Collection draws inspiration from the structure and allure of the flower, which Vittorio saw everywhere during a visit to Thailand.

The Orchid reimagines the flower with alabaster shades, which gives the lamps a gem-like faceted profile. The bodies are uniquely organic and branching, with cut-outs throughout the frames.

The collection has been released in conjunction with the studio’s innovative new hand-painted Verde Pietra finish, deeply inspired by Japanese architecture. This mix of Italian design with Asian influences creates a piece that is gentle and refined.

The Riflesso Table

A favourite in the collection, this design has been reissued with some subtle updates thanks to a new production process. The main focal point of the Riflesso table is the tinted mirrored glass top, which gives the piece a unique sense of depth.

Each one of the tables can be upgraded with two decorative mirrored glass dishes and is available in any of the seven mirrored glass colours and ten metal finishes. A fun detail about Riflesso is that it can be used as a single table or as a group in varying sizes and colours.

The Flor Collection

The Flor chandelier was inspired by the interweaving of patterns found in everyday life. The droplet-shaped shade diffusers, made from hand-blown Murano glass, come together to create the collection’s distinctive fluid motions.

The pieces’ voluminous glass profile descending from the supporting brass frame evokes the image of sails softly filled with air. The deep glass texture is achieved through the combination of a sanded interior and a smooth exterior, elegantly diffusing light.

Both models can be installed hanging or flush-mounted, giving buyers more freedom when incorporating the pieces into their designs.

Together, these new collections reflect the essence of Gaspare Asaro’s studio today: a careful balance between heritage and evolution. Guided by Vittorio Asaro’s contemporary sensibility and crafted by master artisans, each piece celebrates material honesty, refined craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. Whether drawing from nature, travel, or everyday patterns, the works stand as timeless objects—quietly expressive, deeply personal, and rooted in an Italian tradition that continues to move confidently forward.
