Mango Home is making a major move in the Spanish capital. The brand is opening its first standalone store in the Madrid region, choosing the Moraleja Green shopping centre in Alcobendas as its newest location. This opening marks the fourth dedicated Mango Home store worldwide, following successful launches in Barcelona and Zaragoza. It signals a clear shift for the company, as it focuses on physical spaces where people can see and touch products, moving beyond digital screens to create real connections with shoppers.

A store designed like a real house

Walking into the new Alcobendas location feels less like entering a shop and more like stepping into a well-loved apartment. The 255 m² space is laid out to mimic the flow of a real home. Instead of standard aisles, the store is divided into distinct rooms. This setup helps customers visualise how different pieces will look in their own living spaces. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, capturing the Mediterranean spirit that defines the brand. The design encourages you to slow down and wander through the different areas, offering inspiration for every corner of the house.

Expanding the collection with artisan craft

The shelves in this new store are stocked with a massive variety of items. Since starting in 2021, Mango Home has tripled its size. The product range has grown from 1,600 items in 2024 to nearly 6,000 in 2025. Shoppers in Madrid can now explore new categories that cover the entire home. This includes a fresh line of lighting and lamps, mirrors, decorative prints, and candles. The brand has also introduced a textile collection specifically for babies and children, alongside a range of home fragrances.

Quality and origin are central to the design philosophy here. Over 60% of the products are manufactured in Europe, with a strong focus on traditional craftsmanship. The collection highlights the human touch through pieces such as hand-painted tableware, blown glass, recycled stoneware, and hand embroidery. These items revive old techniques, giving them a contemporary look without losing their history. To further support this focus on authenticity, Mango Home has partnered with respected artisans such as Mantas Ezcaray and Yutes to create unique products that add genuine character to the home.

Strategic growth and future plans

This opening is a key part of Mango’s 4E Strategic Plan for 2024-2026, which aims to boost visibility across all business lines. The company is betting big on physical retail this year. By opening dedicated stores in major cities like Madrid, Barcelona, and Zaragoza, they are introducing their home universe to a much wider audience. Nuria Font, the director of Mango Home, notes that Madrid is a crucial step in their plan. She explains that the goal is to bring their contemporary and cosy range to more customers, offering spaces that spark ideas for every room.

The expansion is not just local. Mango Home now operates in 34 online markets, mainly in Europe and the United States. The company is seeing strong results, with a 12% increase in overall sales recorded in the first half of 2025. This growth allows them to continue investing in better materials and expanding their product lines, releasing two significant collections each year to keep the selection fresh and relevant.
