Winter sports gear often forces a choice between looking good and staying warm, but the latest collaboration between Nike and Jacquemus proves you don’t have to pick a side. Leaving the track and city streets behind, the two brands have moved to the mountains for an 18-piece apparel collection. The new line is built to handle the physical demands of skiing and snowboarding while maintaining the playful, high-fashion aesthetic Simon Porte Jacquemus is known for. It is a collection that feels just as right on a black diamond run as it does sitting by the fire with a drink in hand.

Outerwear built for the elements
The heart of this collection lies in its heavy-duty outerwear. The designers focused on triple-layer GORE-TEX fabrics to ensure the jackets and pants can withstand snowstorms and wind. The standout piece is a two-in-one GORE-TEX jacket. It features a waterproof outer shell with sharp tailoring that sits over a zip-in interior bomber jacket. This inner layer is packed with Primaloft insulation for warmth and features a Swoosh on the chest with Jacquemus branding across the shoulders.
For women, there is a specific jacket style that uses these same waterproof materials but is cut to mimic the signature shapes seen on the Jacquemus runway. Matching GORE-TEX pants complete these looks, offering weather protection with stylish touches like removable jacquard straps and belt loops shaped like the letter “J.”

Layers for the chalet
Underneath the heavy coats, the design details continue with pieces made for movement and comfort. The collection includes a woman’s woven jumpsuit made from soft, stretchy, water-repellent fabric. It cuts a slim silhouette suitable for the slopes or the après-ski scene. To pair with this, there are leggings featuring an ultra-high waist, curved design lines, and stirrups at the hem – a clear nod to vintage ski vacation staples. A breathable bralette with a curved hem at the bust completes the women’s layering options.
The menswear offers a mountain-ready update to a classic item. The standard Jacquemus button-down shirt has been reimagined with water-repellent fabric, a back “J” loop, and a practical chest pocket. For colder days, there is a long-sleeve top that works as a standalone piece or an insulating layer, finished with sport-inspired lines and thumb holes to keep sleeves tucked inside mittens.

A nod to the 80s
Simon Porte Jacquemus drew heavily on his own life for this project. He notes that skiing is his favourite sport and that he has been collecting vintage 1980s skiwear for years. The goal was to take that retro energy and apply it to modern technical fabrics. He describes the process of using high-performance materials to achieve a minimal, modern look as a new and interesting challenge for his brand.

This collection marks another chapter in the partnership that began in 2022, following previous releases like the Le Swoosh bag and the reimagined Moon Shoe. It successfully takes the technical requirements of Nike’s athletic gear and filters them through the French designer’s unique lens. The Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski collection is available at jacquemus.com and Jacquemus stores, as well as on nike.com and select retailers.
