The Italian lighting brand Lodes has introduced a new light fixture that lets you become part of the design process. The A-Tube Nano Swing, developed by Studio Italia Design, is an evolution of the company’s well-known A-Tube Nano collection. This new version is all about adding movement to lighting, turning a simple fixture into an interactive experience. The design itself is elegantly simple, taking the form of a clean, graphic line that can define the atmosphere of a room.
A closer look at the design
The fixture’s body is a skinny aluminum tube, measuring only 2 centimeters in diameter. It’s so slender it looks almost like a pin hanging in space. At the very bottom of this structure sits a small, clear methacrylate tip that holds an LED module, creating a soft and inviting light that seems to float in the air. Lodes offers the A-Tube Nano Swing in three different lengths (small, medium, and large) and six distinct finishes. The choices include Matte Black, Chrome, Champagne, Gold, Rose Gold, and Terra, providing options for both modern and minimalist interiors.

The fixture allows for 360-degree rotation, providing complete control over its orientation and interaction with other lights in a grouping. Taking this idea of control even further, Lodes now offers a new recessed version of the A-Tube Nano Swing. This model can be installed directly into the ceiling, giving it a clean, built-in appearance. The body of the recessed lamp has a joint that allows it to be angled up to 30 degrees, making it easy to direct the beam of light precisely onto a specific architectural detail or piece of art.
This directional capability opens up new creative avenues for designers. You can repeat a single size and point the lights in various directions to create a sense of lively rhythm.
