The adidas Originals Superstar has always been more than just a shoe. It started on the basketball court, found its way into the hands of streetwear legends, and has been changed by every group of people that has worn it since. This season, the brand is looking at what makes this shoe a true icon that never goes out of style. With a new campaign led by Samuel L. Jackson, adidas is showing that while time moves on, the Superstar stays exactly where it belongs: at the centre of culture.

A cinematic trip through Hotel Superstar
The latest story is set in a strange, dream-like place called Hotel Superstar. Directed by Thibaut Grevet, the film follows Samuel L. Jackson as he wanders through endless hallways and rooms that seem to exist outside of time. In each room, he finds a different person who is currently shaping the world.
From music stars like JENNIE and Olivia Dean to sports heroes like Lamine Yamal and James Harden, every person in the hotel is wearing the Superstar. The idea is simple: these are people who don’t wait for the right moment; they create it. Whether it’s Kendall Jenner’s style or Tyshawn Jones’s skateboarding, the shoe links these different worlds together.
”The campaign celebrates the next era of the Superstar through both timeless design and cultural relevance. Superstars never go away, they are timeless and iconic. This season, we continue to show the relevance of this sneaker across music, fashion, sport, and art. The new campaign pushes the bounds of reality with unexpected twists.”

The design details of Spring 2026
For the Spring 2026 collection, adidas has focused on making small but clever changes to the textures and colours of their clothing. They have kept the classic black-and-white look that everyone knows but added bright red hits to give it a fresh energy. The goal was to take old-school sports clothes and give them a sharper, more modern finish.
In the men’s line, the focus is on a more relaxed fit. The tracksuits are looser and use bold blocks of red, black, and white alongside the famous three stripes. There is also a big push into denim this year, seen clearly in the Tyshawn denim shorts. To round things out, the collection includes jerseys and t-shirts in simple, neutral colours that work with anything.

Redefining the women’s collection
The women’s collection takes the traditional track jacket and turns it into something completely different. A standout piece is the Superstar Tracktop, which Kendall Jenner wears in a bold red style. But adidas hasn’t stopped at classic fabrics. They have recreated the jacket using soft faux leather and even crochet.
By using these unexpected materials, the brand has made something that works just as well for a night out as it does for a casual day. It is a mix of high-fashion tailoring and the sporty roots that made the brand famous in the first place.
The Superstar is one of those rare items that manages to stay relevant without trying too hard. It remains a powerful symbol for anyone who wants to show who they are through what they wear. As the new campaign shows, trends might come and go, but a classic design is forever.
