At Salone del Mobile 2025, De Castelli will present Caleide, a new lamp collection designed by Federica Cammarota that explores the balance between light and metal. The collection plays with geometric forms—circles, rectangles, teardrops, and trapezoids—creating layered, sculptural pieces that work equally well on walls or ceilings. Available in three decorative motifs and three sizes (90 cm, 60 cm, and 30 cm), Caleide brings flexibility and elegance to any space.
At the center of each lamp, a blown frosted glass orb diffuses soft, direct light, enhancing the textures and finishes of the surrounding metal. Steel, brass, and copper alternate in oxidized and brushed finishes, creating a mosaic of light and shadow. The contrast between the materials and the structured shapes gives the collection a strong yet refined presence.
Caleide reflects De Castelli’s ability to elevate metal into an art form. It’s more than just lighting—it’s an object that commands attention without being overdesigned. The thoughtful balance of form, material, and light makes each piece feel timeless.
