From Puerto Rico to the paddock

The collection follows the historic F1 demo run on August 2nd. On that day, a Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 car drove across the Puente Dos Hermanos in San Juan, marking the first time an F1 car had ever been on Puerto Rican soil. To celebrate this partnership, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team also announced Bad Bunny as the newest member of their team, recognizing his drive to break new ground.

Fans got a first look at the Adiracer GT shoe at the adidas Originals “The Archive” exhibit at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. This preview happened during Bad Bunny’s sold-out residency No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí. The entire collaboration is about energy in motion and marks Bad Bunny’s first complete collection based on motorsport culture and the feeling of speed.

The new shoe is a modern update on a vintage driving shoe. It has a low, sleek, and fluid shape that rethinks a racing model from the early 2000s. The design takes a technical approach, layering an outer exoskeleton structure, or cage, over the shoe’s main body. This cage sits on top of a refined suede underlay. The choice of suede was directly inspired by the materials used in actual F1 racing footwear.

The Motorsport Collection: Head-to-toe racing style

The apparel reworks old-school racing designs through Bad Bunny’s cultural perspective. The pieces feature bold typography, badges, and sharp color-blocking. A repeating “94” graphic appears, which points to both classic race numbers and Bad Bunny’s birth year. The collection’s look is inspired by the racetrack itself, showing dark and worn colors combined with high-speed technical details. The line aims for a high-fashion look using premium materials and distinct branding. The full collection includes a cap, zip-up tees, a race jacket, racing gloves, and pants.

This collaboration acts as a connecting force between adidas Originals, Bad Bunny, and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, who all share a spirit of innovation. The Bad Bunny Adiracer GT and the Motorsport Collection will be available globally in November 2025.
