Amidst Austrian Vineyards, Das Zeitwert Boutique Hotel is a Place of Serenity

Austria is a popular destination for many reasons. Whether it is the theatres and museums in the country’s capital city Vienna for the creative travellers, or Austrian mountain resorts known for their majestic beauty for more active explorers, Austria will find a way to each and everyone’s hearts.

And if you are more of a laid-back tourist looking for a secluded and less touristy location, with a fairytale-like castle and some vineyards for sightseeing and wine tasting, then you need to add South-West Styria to your list. And for a full immersion into the relaxation book a stay at Das Zeitwert Boutique Hotel.

Designed by Superunique Design Studio, the hotel, due to its location and client-oriented simplistic design, creates a relaxing atmosphere inviting the guests to take a deep breath and leave all their worries behind. Surrounded by the vineyards, Zeitwert Hotel, with its slogan “Every day a piece of Sunday”, accentuates the prevailing relaxing ambience.

Located next to the historic Hollenegg Castle, the Zeitwert Hotel is the product of the renovation of the old Zur Taverne Inn. It was taken over in 2018 by three brothers Bernd, Jürgen & Gernot Kleindienst, who had a different vision for the place. Four years later, the new project was revealed having gotten a reconstruction and “a new soul“, as they state.

To be more specific, now next to an impressive castle, there is a 26-room boutique hotel that kept the traditional while embracing the global, in terms of design.

The facade of the hotel blends into the environment and doesn’t look out of place next to the smaller residential houses and nature. Making the guests focus on the natural landscape with a magnificent view. The same goes for the interior design, as the rooms are designed in subtle and warm colours, using high-quality materials and textiles.

Besides the view and sightseeing activities, residents of the hotel can enjoy a private spa over the pool or sauna, or a lavishly designed
bathroom with a freestanding bathtub for a more secluded personal retreat option.

The Zeitwert Hotel is a cost-effective holiday option for those who would like to explore the region and find pleasure in graceful interior design. The restrained and noble design continues through the bar into the
restaurant area.

Lastly, it is a prime example of the Superunique design team’s successful execution of turning the old inn into a renovated and modernized hotel, by integrating the old into the new, adopting the former building’s structures, and balancing the current design. This project combines the history and wine cultivation and elevates the experience with its smart design.
