LEGO Group has presented an impressive set modelled after the popular TV series Downton Abbey. The award-winning series and movie, created by Carnival Films, takes place in Highclere Castle, recreated in 4,711 pieces and in great detail. The set invites builders to step into the world of spectacular architecture, exploring the division between upstairs and downstairs life in an Edwardian home.

Two floors and 13 minifigures
The modular design of the set allows users to remove the top level of the castle to enter the busy kitchen, servants’ hall and Mr Clarson’s office. Moving forward, they can ascend further into a highly detailed main hall, dining room and library.

The exterior architecture is accompanied by 13 minifigures representing the iconic Season 6 household: the Dowager Countess, Lord Grantham, Tom Branson, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, Mrs Hughes, Mr Carson, Mr Bates, Anna Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs Patmore and Daisy Parker. Every one of them comes with double-sided face prints as well as additional clothing designed for seating at the dining table.

LEGO Ideas crowdsourcing platform
The idea for Downton Abbey was submitted through the LEGO Ideas crowdsourcing platform by Czech Fan Designer Sebastian Veselka and selected through fan vote. To commemorate his influence on the set, LEGO placed an Easter egg referencing Sebastian Veselka. Builders can discover playful details throughout the set, from a servants’ bell board marked “LEGO room” and newspapers featuring the fan designer’s initials, “SV“, to a heart-shaped tree base inspired by Downton Abbey’s romantic scenes.

“Rebuilding Downton Abbey as a LEGO set felt like the perfect way to celebrate the series in a personal way, bringing together my love of British architecture, my memories of watching the show with my family, and the atmosphere of the 1920s. Seeing the project reach 10,000 supporters in just three months was incredible. I’m so grateful to everyone who supported it and can’t wait for fans to travel back in time and step inside the Crawley family’s iconic home in LEGO brick form.”

Authentic period details
The set takes great pride in authenticity, accurately portraying the fascinating era of historical transition, when electricity was about to replace candlelight. Authentic period details include a mix of lighting sources, a 1910s–1920s candlestick telephone and an early electric mixer. Other highlights of Downton Abbey include dining etiquette layouts, portraits and a servant’s hall dining table arranged by rank.

LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey will arrive in stores on October 4, 2026, while LEGO Insiders will get early access to the set from October 1. Designed for adults aged 18 and over, the set will be available for online orders as well for £269.99 / €299.99 / $349.99.
