Gym Chic, designed by Triinu Luming for Raju, is an adjustable dumbbell made of eco-friendly materials. The combination of reclaimed quartz and recyclable steel makes the product both environmentally conscious and aesthetically unique, offering a flexible training experience without a negative environmental footprint.
The natural beauty of quartz on full display
Gym chic adjustable dumbbells are made of natural quartz crystals, resins, and pigments, merged with high heat and pressure. The steel handle is combined with quartz discs, each weighing 500 grams. The discs can be added or removed to create dumbbells ranging from 2 to 4 kg, offering an option for users at any fitness level.
Each quartz dumbbell features a unique natural pattern, making every dumbbell one-of-a-kind. The beauty of quartz also provides the dumbbells with a sculptural quality, thus turning them from a training tool to a decorative object that embellishes the fitness area.
Sustainable, recycled materials
The designers from Raja transformed quartz stone residue into durable gym equipment, thus giving new purpose to a discarded material, reducing environmental waste. Gym Chic’s modular design allows one dumbbell to be used on numerous training levels, thus extending its use. Fully recyclable steel and upcycled quartz provide a sustainable alternative to traditional, mass-produced weights.
Seven colourways to choose from

- The darkest shade, African Fusion, is inspired by the landscapes of Africa. The dumbbell features a striking fusion of warm, earthy tones and darker accents.
- Taj Mahal mimics natural marble with its soft white colour and delicate veining.
- Bardiglio Nuvolato features a greyish-blue tone that resembles natural marble with distinct white and light grey veining.
- Coastal Grey is a darker shade of grey with lighter veining and a fine-grain pattern.
- Excava Rough exudes a natural rustic appearance with its textured, rough surface and earthy warm tones.
- Frozen features a clean and modern, crisp, icy white colour with subtle grey veining.
- Turbine Grey’s sleek look features a blend of light and dark grey tones.
All colour options come in the dimensions of H 270 mm × diameter 110 mm, while the steel handle with a textured, comfortable grip comes in steel and black options.
Triinu Luming – Raju
Triinu Luming, the founder of Raju Studio, is a multitalented creative from Estonia, prolific in the fields of product design, interior architecture and visual art. Commitment to texture, form and material qualities informs her work, which frequently explores the relationship between functionality and sculptural expression. Her distinctive rugs, side tables, trays, posters, blankets and furniture pieces bring subtle character and atmosphere into everyday environments. Luming’s Gym Chic has won the FIT Sport Design Award in the Sport Equipment Design / Fitness & Gymnastic category.
