FL Country House portrays the combination of simple yet balanced elements, starting from a fluid layout, simple shapes, and active integration into the surrounding nature. The house that the architect Maicon Liv made for himself becomes more than just a house – it’s a lifestyle perfectly translated into form. The residence supports a quiet life, the one lived with family in harmony, contemplation, and tranquillity.

FL Country House by Maicon Liv
Intentionally designed to slow down the rhythm of our busy lives, the FL Country House turns simplicity into poetry. Placed in conversation with the surrounding continuous landscape, the residential space invites one to feel and experience. Thus, the FL Country House becomes more than an object; it functions as a place in which architecture and open space are met without rupture by affinity.

Single-story monolithic structure
The dialogue between the house and the outdoor vegetation takes place alongside the East-West axis. A design by LIV ARCH LAB that supports and prioritises spatial fluidity is grounded in minimalism and clean geometrical lines. The FL Country House is a single-story space organised as a single white monolithic volume slightly elevated from the ground. Surrounded by grass and palm trees, the house features a reinforced floor slab 50 cm above the terrain, reinforced with recessed beams that provide a sense of lightness to the residence. The three-meter-tall overhang over the slope enables the structure to float above the elevation.

FL Country House’s fluid interior
Thoughtfully divided into social, private, and service areas, the interior enhances the functionality of the space. As soon as they enter the house, the visitors are greeted by the hall, which leads to a suite-office connected with the social area. Furthermore, the social area is completely integrated in the middle of the living/TV room, kitchen/gourmet area, verandas, and patio. The outside patio features a deck leading to the swimming pool in the backyard.

The connection with the landscape is enhanced with a precise curation of low furniture that allows for an unobstructed panoramic view of the surroundings. The master suite and two semi-suites are covered in cabinetry with freijó finishing. Tauari wooden flooring brings warmth, tranquillity, and a touch of nature into the design. Subtle yet practical, the laundry, pantry, and service area complete the residence.

FL Country House is a contemporary retreat where landscape design and everyday living blend seamlessly. Designed by Maicon Liv, the project reflects a careful balance between vision and precision in architecture. The house, defined by its materiality, a clear design concept, and intelligent execution, portrays how structure can serve form without additional noise or excess. The idea evolves into a built reality, and the built reality reinforces the original idea.
