Brintons, a British carpet brand with over 240 years of experience, has expanded its Country Life collection with four new designs that reflect the textures and beauty of woodland landscapes. Woven from 100% undyed wool, the collection marks a significant step forward in sustainable luxury design, combining environmental consciousness with sophisticated interior aesthetics.

Natural textures and looks
Each design draws inspiration from the shapes, structures and subtle rhythms of forests and green lands, from the dappled light filtering through tree canopies to the intricate root systems beneath the forest floor. Available in two natural tones, Bamboo and Cloud, the new additions feature a mix of loop and cut-and-pile techniques that add depth and texture without overwhelming a space.
Talking about the collection, Jodie Hatton, Design Manager at Brintons, commented: “The new designs felt like a very natural extension to the existing Country Life collection. They continue the nature-inspired theme, taking inspiration from shapes and designs found in the forest and exploring how those can be translated through carpet design using loop and cut-and-pile techniques. Using 100% undyed wool meant the focus stayed on the pattern and design of the carpets.”

Canopy
Canopy is a cut-and-loop design inspired by the overlapping branches seen when looking up through the treetops. Textured patterns intersect and repeat to create a contemporary yet organic design that not only feels calming but also lends a laid-back tactile luxury underfoot.

Roots
Drawing inspiration from the intricate network of interconnecting roots beneath the forest floor, Roots celebrates the hidden architecture that enables growth and flourishing. This richly textured cut-and-loop design offers luxury underfoot while serving as a visual reminder of nature’s strength.

Dapple
Dapple offers a more understated design. A small-scale, semi-plain cut-and-loop design, Dapple is a versatile pattern that is crafted to complement every room of the home. Bringing subtle movement and texture, this design takes inspiration from the light peeking through a dense canopy of trees. Capturing the dappled effect of the sunlight peeking through, Dapple is a soft reminder of brightness and openness within even the most layered spaces.

Glade
Completing the collection, Glade emulates the textured surface of the forest floor itself. This grainy loop and tight loop-pile design offers the natural softness and comfort of wool while being durable enough for everyday modern living. Hard-wearing yet tactile, it provides a refined alternative to sisal that suits both contemporary and traditional interiors.

“From the striped design of the Canopy and the interconnecting lines of Roots to the quieter dappled texture of Dapple, each design has its own character. Together, they add depth and a sense of tactile luxury to the collection while remaining classic and versatile.”

About Brintons
Brintons is a British carpet maker with roots that stretch back to 1783, when William Brintons started making spun yarns in Kidderminster in the UK. Over the centuries, it has grown into one of the world’s most established manufacturers of woven carpets, producing Axminster and Wilton wool-rich carpets and rugs for homes and commercial projects around the world.
Known for technical innovation, such as the 80% wool/20% nylon blend it pioneered in the mid-20th century, Brintons has maintained its manufacturing expertise while expanding globally with facilities in Europe and beyond. The company’s carpets have been selected for a wide range of notable interiors, and it was recognised with a Royal Warrant in 1958 for supplying carpets to royal residences.
