This tri-level penthouse is located in Mexico City and combines style, class, and comfort. Designed by Nogalya and its lead designer Darío Salazar, this penthouse has a variety of colours and textures mixed.
The three levels are used for different purposes—the first floor is a public space, the second is a private space, and the top level is designed as a workshop space. This is an ideal apartment for a creative family, allowing home and studio to co-exist in the same building.
Its architectural diversity made possible by CINTRE Arquitectura, is outstanding. Each space in the apartment was remodelled individually, making them all unique yet blending in together cohesively. It creates a sense of dialogue within the apartment.
That is further blended with the interior and furniture in each space. From a wide range of colours to a multitude of textures in every room, it is a testament to the design team’s vision and ability to fuse different styles into one.
The Providencia penthouse is the epitome of detailed interior design, with individual elements crafting a cohesive story. For example, the wooden stairs complement the white and black details in the interior, while the extensive collection of paintings and photos on the walls makes it look more imaginative.
Such eclectic interiors may be overwhelming for some, but not for the owners of this apartment. As creatives themselves, they wanted their apartment to reflect the creativity of the family. It explains the diverse interior assorted by a palette of colors and materials further distinguished by their thermal contrast.
Bedrooms are even more unique and different from one another. For example, one of the bedrooms mixes dust-pink velvet cushions and a chair with a black wall and marble tiles on the floor. Painting on the wall is an original touch to the rest of the details in the room.
Two children’s bedrooms are like mirrored versions of each other only in different colors—in one there is more dark-wood, while in the other there are more neutral tones.
Providencia bestowed with Honorable Mention in Interior Design / Apartment at Built Design Award, is proof that habitability and interior can be interchangeable in real estate.
