A timeless design
Cambria’s essence is one of juxtaposition, edge, and elegance. The use of raw wood and black iron is an homage to the town’s light industrial past and historical legacy. Bold, provocative art pieces echo the eclectic creative nature of Somerville’s independent thinkers.
The floors, patterned in herringbone, add a layer of timeless classic elegance. The balance between old and new is a recurring theme throughout the design, bridging the historic features and modern energy of Somerville.
The layout of the hotel encourages interaction and community, which was also inspired by the social buzz feel of the town. Flexibility, a must for the guests, is facilitated by the thoughtful placement of the furniture and the fluid open spaces. Bill Rooney Studio also infused local elements into the design, making sure that the hotel blended perfectly with the local culture and providing visitors with an authentic experience of the town.
