Hennessey Special Vehicles, a Texas-based manufacturer, has proudly presented the Venom F5 Revolution LF, a one-off customer commission produced through the company’s new division “Maverick“. The model was shown on August 15 at The Quail, having been commissioned by American entrepreneur and collector Louis Florey. The car incorporates a series of customised elements specified by him, including a unique aerodynamic package and exposed carbon fibre tinted in cocoa brown.

The Venom F5 Revolution LF

The Venom F5 Revolution LF combines a new carbon fibre tub with Hennessey’s latest Evolution package, applied here to an open-top F5 in its “Revolution” track-focused configuration. The commission uses the “Stealth Series” as its base, which features exposed carbon fibre throughout the body, extending from the front to the cockpit and then tapering towards the rear wing. Florey selected a River Sand Metallic finish, described as the colour of champagne, together with a body-coloured tri-stripe, having also opted for a six-speed gated manual transmission. This new car is actually considered the most technically complex Venom F5 built to date.

“When our customers have a dream, we work to make their dreams come true – exceeding customer expectations is a badge of honour. Our new ‘Maverick’ division enables our customers to take our American hypercar to a totally new dimension. I see it as the ultimate expression of the American Dream!”

The car previews features from the forthcoming Venom F5 Evolution, incorporating a revised aerodynamic package that includes a redesigned front splitter, reshaped dive planes, updated fender louvres, a new rear deck with an integrated lip spoiler, and a taller rear wing. These adjustments are paired with a revised suspension system and Hennessey’s 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 Fury engine, producing 2,031 bhp. The combination allows for increased stability at high speeds in both open and closed roof configurations.

Inside, the LF introduces a new carbon monocoque called “XCell_2”, which improves structural stiffness, seating ergonomics, and pedal box geometry. The design relocates the footwells to create space for the third pedal, improving the driving position in the manual configuration. The pedals themselves are made from machined aluminium, engraved with Hennessey logos, and mounted to the floor.

The interior follows an analogue approach with the inclusion of a milled aluminium H-pattern gated shifter positioned in a redesigned centre console. Air vents sit directly above, while below them a recessed slot holds the ignition key. Controls throughout the cabin, including switches, toggles, and rotary dials, have been re-engineered with fine detailing, and the switchgear incorporates luminous infill that collects daylight and emits a soft glow at night. The parking brake lever is machined to provide a mechanical, bolt-action-style movement.

“The LF demonstrates how far we’ll go to deliver an outstanding customer experience, and it’s the perfect launchpad for our new bespoke ‘Maverick’ division. It’s where engineering meets imagination and where design fuses with passion. There can be no greater way to connect the driver with the most raw, powerful, and intense celebration of internal combustion.”

The novelties

The Maverick division has been formally launched with this project and is intended to provide customers with the opportunity to create individually specified Venom F5 models. Options include custom paintwork, mechanical changes, exposed carbon finishes, tailored interiors, and modified bodywork. While the Revolution LF will remain a one-off, future commissions will be produced under the same framework.
