Paris is known for its classic cafes, but Bon Bouquet Café breaks away from tradition with a modern interior design that challenges traditional Parisian aesthetics. Created by the interior design studio Between The Walls, this striking space is the studio’s second project in Paris and a standout addition to The Hungry Family’s portfolio. Designed by lead architect Victoria Karieva and her team, the café pushes the boundaries of what a Parisian café can look like.
A vibrant interior and innovative materials
From the outside, Bon Bouquet keeps things subtle. A milky-white facade with simple signage and a roll-up glass window system gives little away. But step inside, and the café bursts to life with vibrant pinks, sleek modern furniture, and lush greenery. This unexpected contrast makes the space both playful and inviting.
The designers opted for microcement throughout the café covering the floor, bar counter, benches, and storage areas. This choice ensures durability and easy maintenance and creates a natural texture that complements the cafe’s verdant environment. The ceiling is lined with acoustic foam to manage sound insulation, keeping noise levels comfortable for guests and minimizing disruption to the residential units above.
A space designed for interaction
Bon Bouquet’s interior is carefully arranged to encourage movement and interaction. Bright pink tables and chairs pop against the surrounding greenery, inviting guests to explore and engage with the space. A standout feature is the daylight-free zone, which houses a cozy amphitheater with pink upholstered seating and soft yellow lighting. The lighting design, handled by a leading Ukrainian firm, Expolight, creates a warm atmosphere, enhancing the shadows of the plants on the walls for a jungle-like effect.
A bold approach to restroom design
The café’s attention to design extends even to the restrooms, each with its own distinct aesthetic. The green bathroom features textured walls and organic shapes, including a wavy form living mirror that adds a playful touch. In contrast, the pink bathroom embraces warmth with its rich tones and dark fixtures. The Trone mosaic-inspired toilet adds an unexpected artistic element, ensuring that even these functional spaces feel part of the overall experience.
A unique addition to Parisian café culture
Bon Bouquet café strives to offer Parisians a one-of-a-kind experience. The bold colors, smart lighting, and thoughtfully selected materials make it a standout destination for Parisians looking for something different. With its unique design and attention to detail, it’s no surprise that Bon Bouquet café recently won the LIV Hospitality Design Award for Interior Design in the Casual Restaurant category.
