The Luzhniki Collection residential complex rises above the Moskva River. The luxurious architectural ensemble consists of twelve clubhouses shaped by the river on one side and the private park on the other. Apart from premium apartments with terraces, the multi-storey buildings also host boutiques and exclusive restaurants. The premium residential buildings at the Moskva waterfront are further highlighted by the unique lighting design that makes them stand out in the busy centre of the Russian capital.

Amber fantasy in the centre of Moscow
A lighting concept made by KULTURA SVETA is inspired by amber in more ways than one. On one side, the designers were inspired by the warm, timeless luminosity of the colour. On the other hand, the design references The Chronicles of Amber fantasy book series by Roger Zelazny, in which all worlds reflect the single true one. Featuring warm golden lights, the design highlights the refined architecture of the luxurious complex. Architecture and illumination are united into a cohesive visual code that dominates the city’s urban landscape.

The depth and material palette of the façade are highlighted by the light that creates a dynamic visual rhythm. The lighting is integrated subtly into the complex, which results in an elegant ornamental glow during the night, while the bright amber lighting on the upper floors mirrors the light design of other cultural landmarks such as Luzhniki Stadium and the Academy of Sciences located just across the river.

Three layers of light
The same approach is used in the lighting of the landscape, layering the design across three levels:
- Soft amber lighting that highlights the paths and guides the visitors through the complex.
- Eye-level light that creates spatial balance
- and cool light canopy accents.
At night, the Luzhniki Collection becomes an illuminated landmark of the city where light and architecture become one. The lighting features a biologically optimal 2500K–3000K colour temperature range. The resulting lighting environment is healthy, safe, and emotionally resonant, while also supporting human circadian rhythms.

KULTURA SVETA
KULTURA SVETA is an independent lighting design studio based in Moscow. Founded in 2016, the studio collaborates with architects and clients to create lights that will become an essential part of architecture. Their practice is rooted in the belief that light and ambience shape the human consciousness, which is why they dedicate their work to making urban areas more beautiful and comfortable to live in. Working across multiple scales, the studio delivers lighting design services spanning architecture, master planning, urban environments, landscapes, and interiors.

Inspired by the warm luminosity of amber, KULTURA SVETA’s lighting design for Luzhniki Collection establishes a distinctive nighttime identity for the premium residential complex in Moscow. Layered architectural and landscape lighting enhances the building’s architecture, reinforces the project’s connection to the cityscape, and supports the human circadian rhythms.
