Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric in Singapore is Louis Vuitton’s First Chocolate Store Outside of France

When Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric arrived in Singapore it made history by becoming Louis Vuitton‘s first chocolate store outside of France. Previously only available in Paris and Courchevel, the fashion superhouse decided to expand its reach beyond the borders.

The chocolate collection by renowned pastry chef Maxime Frédéric was made available to the Singaporean public earlier this year, allowing them to visit the prominent chocolaterie by the French luxury brand without having to fly to France.

Located in Marina Bay Sands’ Louis Vuitton Island Maison boutique, Singapore’s Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric is not a cafe, unlike the French version. For now, visitors can’t enjoy chocolate cakes, pastries, and coffee, but only opt for the chocolate. However, it was revealed that the possibility of turning an outlet into a cafe in the future is not out of the question.

Frédéric, who besides being the creator of Louis Vuitton’s chocolate is a Head pastry chef at the Parisian luxury hotel Cheval Blanc, has created such artisanal masterpieces as Vivienne on Malle, The Petula, and Monogram tablets—all of which are available in the store. Made from ingredients of the highest quality found from all around the world, Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéri is more than just chocolate, it is an exclusive experience.

“We began to see a lot of similarities between our work as pastry chefs and the skills of Louis Vuitton artisans, whether woodworkers or locksmiths for trunks. This is all about artisanal craftsmanship, and is totally comparable to our craft as pastry chefs, bakers, and chocolatiers.”
