A bird has no training and no style to follow, which is what sent Natsumi Komoto to animal nests when her ECAL thesis asked why humans make things at all. Baya, the lounge chair that came out of it, has a stainless steel frame bent by machine and a shell of leather strips woven around it by hand. The leather can be stripped off and replaced when it wears through.
