IKEA will celebrate the upcoming holiday season with not one, not two, but three collections dedicated to fall and winter. This year’s offering draws inspiration from two distinct holiday traditions. Calm and cosy, Scandinavian folklore is shaped by a classic seasonal colour palette and familiar traditions, while Happy Carnival adopts a more playful approach marked by bright colours, unorthodox shapes and joyfulness.

VINTERFINT collectables
VINTERFINT collection of decoration, textile, tableware and gift wrappers is designed to bring joy into the upcoming festive season. Collectable jars, decorations, candlesticks and bowls designed by Marta Krupińska aim to evoke laughter and relaxation. The paper-based decorations, which are key pieces of the collection, are made through explorations of new ways to work with paper.
Painted in vibrant, popping colours, the pieces are designed to be folded, stored and enjoyed year after year, thus creating lasting family traditions. From Christmas trees and playful ornaments to colourful garlands, every piece brings a unique visual language by one of several designers involved. Clara von Zweigberg, for instance, brought distinct colour patterns and graphics, including bold stripes, lively colour combinations and festive forms.
“The design process for the VINTERFINT collection was very hands-on, allowing ideas to spontaneously arise through experimentation with paper mock-ups that helped shape the final forms, sizes and colours. Paper, symmetry and vibrant colours are at the heart of the designs. The products are just as suitable for Christmastime as for other celebrations, and I hope they are kept, enjoyed for many years and become part of many joyful moments.”

STRÅLA lighting decorations
STRÅLA is a collection of lighting that brings joy and warmth during darker winter months. A wide range of products spans from Scandinavian star lamps to outdoor lighting chains. Realising how important family moments around the table are, IKEA designed a series of decorative table lighting inspired by winter, Santa Claus and Christmas trees.
VINTERSAGA
Finally, the VINTERSAGA collection brings food and treats inspired by Swedish holiday traditions. Familiar flavours of chocolates, gingerbread houses and holiday drinks make perfect gifts to share with family and friends throughout the season.
From decorations and lighting to tableware and seasonal treats, VINTERFINT, STRÅLA, and VINTERSAGA cover every part of the seasonal celebration. Availability and launch timing vary by market, but the majority of IKEA stores will begin receiving the collection from September 2026. The collection is also available online.
