Cadillac has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of the Elevated Velocity, an all-electric 2+2 crossover designed to showcase the brand’s motivation in the modern electric scene. The concept draws on elements of Cadillac’s V-Series performance line and demonstrates how these could be reinterpreted for both on-road and off-road use, also offering design cues for future Cadillac models.

Design

The vehicle follows the recent introduction of the LYRIQ-V and OPTIQ-V, which were launched to address demand in the electric performance crossover segment. Elevated Velocity presents a possible evolution of the V-Series into an electric format, with attention given to both performance and design. The concept combines performance-focused engineering with advanced technologies and interior detailing.

Elevated Velocity includes two key elements in its identity: the lifted platform intended for off-road capability and the interior designed for driver and passenger comfort. The concept is equipped with selectable modes that alter the driving experience, interior lighting, and vehicle behaviour depending on conditions. These modes are used both to support different types of driving and to create distinct in-cabin environments.

Tech

Three user experience modes are included in the vehicle’s design. In Welcome Mode, the approach of the driver activates lighting across the floor, seats, instrument panel, doors and steering wheel, while the exterior gull-wing doors open upwards and an animation runs on the steering wheel. Elevate Mode retracts the pedals and steering wheel and converts the interior into a recovery space with red ambient lighting, infrared seatback lighting, and visual aids to support breathing and temperature regulation. Velocity Mode, focused on driving, highlights speed and navigation on the deployable steering wheel display and head-up display, with white lighting used to support concentration on the road.

The concept has been developed with a series of drive modes intended to address different terrains and conditions. e-Velocity Mode provides an evolution of the V-Mode found in current V-Series vehicles and is designed for high-performance on-road driving. Terra Mode is designed for off-road conditions and utilizes air suspension to adjust the vehicle’s stance, while Sand Vision enhances visibility in low-visibility environments, such as sandstorms. Elements Defy uses a vibration system to prevent dust and debris from adhering to the exterior surfaces.

The exterior

On the exterior, the vehicle is designed with proportions similar to those of the CELESTIQ and LYRIQ, featuring a long hood, as well as a raised stance and 24-inch wheels, which enhance off-road capability. The body is finished in Vapor Blue with undertones of grey and features a contrasting red interior, while the glass has a subtle blue tint. Gull-wing doors provide access to the cabin, and the wheels combine flax fibre with black crystal-tinted acrylic. The exterior lighting has been reinterpreted, with fluted translucent front lighting and a tunnel effect in the vertical rear lights.

The interior

The cabin uses a palette of deep reds with brushed metal details. Materials include fine Nappa leather, bouclé fabric, tinted acrylic, and 3D-printed panels inspired by desert polo, with each applied to distinct zones within the interior. Morello Red leather is applied to the headliner, pillars, door uppers, seat cushions, rear compartment, cabin, and cargo floor, while Cerise fabric creates a continuous band around the interior, and Garnet boucle fabric is used for seat uppers, armrests, and the instrument panel.

Extras

Elevate Mode includes additional cabin functions, such as air filtration and purification. Air filtration is used to remove dust particles, while climate control systems compensate for dry air, sudden temperature changes, and altitude variations. Air purification and fragrance distribution are also integrated, alongside red light therapy intended to support recovery after exertion.

Storage has been incorporated into the interior, including a secure compartment for essential items. A polo set is stored in the rear, finished in the vehicle’s Vapor Blue exterior tone, with equipment made in Morello Red and detailed with Cadillac branding and precision patterns.
