Jeep has just introduced the Wrangler Whitecap, the second limited model in their “Twelve 4 Twelve” series. It is described as a design-focused variation of the current Wrangler, built around a simple two-tone idea: a Bright White roof paired with the rest of the bodywork, with matching white details to tie the look together.

The Whitecap is inspired by older Jeep models, particularly the CJ-Universal and the Arctic White tops used on earlier vehicles. It’s only available, however, on the Wrangler Sahara and Rubicon, so the base vehicle and equipment depend on which of those versions you start with.
Visually, the changes are evident on the upper surfaces and the front end. The hardtop roof is painted in Bright White, and the seven-slot grille is also finished in the same colour, with the surrounding trim painted in the same tone as the body. There are also Whitecap decals: a “1941” side stripe on Sahara and Rubicon, and an additional white hood decal on Rubicon.

For anyone who prefers an open-air feel without removing panels, Jeep also offers an optional fabric roof that folds back at the push of a button. Of course, it is finished with the same Bright White accents.
Underneath the styling, Jeep says the Whitecap keeps the same off-road setup as the Sahara and Rubicon. The brand also offers buyers the choice of a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine or a 3.6-litre petrol engine, plus whether they want a part-time or full-time four-wheel-drive system.
