D5 Digital Design Week: Design Where It Matters Most

November 10-14

When survival meets creativity, design becomes a source of hope. This year, D5 Digital Design Week explores how design responds to urgency, weaving sustainability, care, and practical ingenuity into the most challenging contexts.

From solar lamps in off-grid villages to modular housing for refugees, from recycled furniture in shelters to water rollers in rural Africa, we highlight how architecture, interiors, lighting, industrial and furniture design provide solutions that bring safety and dignity. Design answers both immediate crises and the everyday needs of vulnerable communities.

We’re proud to feature the projects above as part of D5 Digital Design Week 2025. Each one is a reminder that design has the power to listen, adapt, and create meaningful change, especially when the world needs it most. Design doesn’t end when the week does. If you’re working on something that answers a real challenge with creativity and care, we want to keep the conversation going. Get in touch, share your story, or say hello. We’d love to hear how you’re designing where it matters.
