Coronet LED Introduces Their New Lalina Collection At LEDucation

This year’s LEDucation has ended, and we’re still thinking about some of the standout new releases. Coronet was among the brands debuting a new collection: the Lalina family, a pair of field-curvable and cuttable lighting systems. Designed to handle complex conditions and tight tolerances, Lalina Cove and Lalina Perimeter offer flexibility and control for architects, designers, and lighting consultants—part of a broader push toward more adaptable, durable products.

The fixtures were developed in response to a common issue: rigid, prefabricated lighting systems often don’t align with real site conditions. They can be difficult to specify accurately and frequently require on-site workarounds.

Our goal is to give architects and designers the tools they need to execute clean, efficient details,” says JR Krauza, Vice President of Product at Coronet. “After hearing consistent feedback about the challenge of fitting prefabricated fixtures into custom spaces, we focused on a system that could be cut and curved on-site for a more accurate fit and smoother installation.

Both products feature a mud-in installation system with no exposed hardware for a clean, trimless look. While they share a similar structure, each is optimised for a different application. Lalina Cove is designed for ceiling coves, delivering soft, indirect light. Coronet’s Wide Asymmetric Optic is also available for broader horizontal distribution. Lalina Perimeter, on the other hand, is intended for wall applications and provides a consistent ambient glow around a space.

The system is field-flexible down to a 9-inch internal radius. It can be customised by length, output, and colour temperature, making it suitable for various project types—from office to hospitality to retail. Lalina was designed in New York and is manufactured at Coronet’s facility in Totowa, NJ. The patent-pending system is both BABA and BAA compliant, plus the fixtures are made using aluminium extrusions with 85% recycled content—no surprise, as Coronet is a CarbonNeutral certified company.
