This is a perfect location for those who seek retreats that prioritize wellness and serenity, as this oasis tucked away from the noise of the big city lives provides simple pleasures in a sumptuous atmosphere. Surrounded by rocky hills, enriched with Mediterranean cuisine, and with a pristine view of the sea, Gundari’s exterior doesn’t interrupt the natural beauty of this precious environment. Instead, Block722 created a piece of art that seamlessly blends into the island’s slow way of living.

Gundari connects a series of suites spread across the plot. As these are low structures organized around two sections, they were designed to offer a view of the sea at every turn and provide an opportunity for the guests to explore the island while walking through the facility.

The main idea behind this eco-resort was to create a hospitality complex that would continue the aesthetic and cultural heritage of the island. Lead designers and founders Sotiris Tsergas and Katja Margaritoglou visualized that wish in an architecture that brings forward the island’s essence and natural wealth. For example, materials used to create 27 suites and villas, such as natural stone, gravel, marble, wood, and clay, emphasize the natural approach in Gundari’s design.

Besides the materials, the successful formation of a serene resort environment lies in the colors, furniture, and accessories, which Block722 has thought through as well. Art and ceramics are all hand-picked and curated, while colors are soft and earthy on par with materials. On a special note, furniture that was designed by Block722 finishes off this subtle luxurious look of the hotel and mixed with vintage pieces reinforces Gundari’s sustainability.

Gundari’s approach to mixing subtle luxury with wellness and minimalism, makes this resort an ideal destination for those seeking to immerse in nature and experience authentic Greek lifestyle. This immense sense of respect for nature is also the reason why the architecture and design of the resort were created considering the least harmful to the environment and community ways.
