3daysofdesign, taking place between June 10 and 12, 2026, will have the honour of debuting a new colour of YAMAGIWA’s iconic TALIESIN lighting series. Made in collaboration with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, the series of table and floor lamps will therefore present a new white finish.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s original design
YAMAGIWA’s TALIESIN series stuns with its architectural structure and subsequent interplay of light and shadow. Originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the series provides a contemporary twist in material and tone while maintaining the essence of the original design. Legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright sought to capture the sensation of sunlight and moonlight as they filter through leaves and branches. Wright’s “organic architecture” approach created unified links between form, material and light.
TALIESIN® 2, 3, and 4 luminaires consist of rectangular solid wood boxes which, brought together, create a visually arresting sculptural installation. The secluded light sources decrease glare while producing indirect soft illumination. The openings between the boxes allow light to emerge, creating a vibrant, dynamic interplay of light and shadow.

The TALIESIN WHITE
The TALIESIN WHITE offers a new expression to the Frank Lloyd Wright collection. The TALIESIN series is available in three sizes, each carefully proportioned to suit different interiors and lighting needs. Standing at an impressive H2028 × W408 × D408 mm, the TALIESIN 2 is the tallest model in the collection, making it a striking architectural presence within a space.
The more compact TALIESIN 3 measures H752 × W210 × D210 mm, offering the same sculptural character in a smaller format. Completing the range, the TALIESIN 4 features a height of 512 mm while maintaining the identical width and depth of 210 mm, making it the most versatile option for tabletops, shelves, and intimate settings.

YAMAGIWA x Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation
Japanese lighting brand YAMAGIWA collaborated with Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation for the famed architect’s designs. The collection is rooted in extensive research and documentation that ensures original characteristics of the luminaires are preserved while adapting them to the new era.
The partnership that started in 1992 is based on technical expertise and a shared commitment to the body of work by one of the greatest American architects. In return, the Japanese company gives a portion of sales back to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, which is later used for the preservation of Wright’s cultural and World Heritage sites.

The architectural designs of Frank Lloyd Wright have powerfully entered the new age through the partnership with one of the world’s most prominent lighting design companies. TALIESIN, the lighting fixture that transforms the environment in more ways than one, boasts a strong architectural presence while offering a soft, glaring glow. A new pristine white finish complements the wood grain, allowing the sculptural silhouette to remain intact.
