Ballerina silhouette made in 2025 as a collaboration between Bad Bunny and adidas returns in a new Vivid Red colourway. Released on May 30, the low-profile sneaker was previously spotlighted within the company’s global World Cup campaign promo on May 7.

The adidas x Bad Bunny Ballerina Vivid Red
The adidas x Bad Bunny Ballerina was originally launched in two black and white colourways (Off White and Core Black), but now the collection is richer for another model in red hues. The third colourway, entitled Vivid Red, is inspired by the iconic Puerto Rican Flamboyán bloom, thus continuing its connection to the culture and identity of the Caribbean island.
The Flamboyán trees, known for their bright red blossoms, flower in late May, turning the entire island into a colourful oasis. The blossoming of the Flamboyán announces the beginning of the summer, but also represents a cultural marker of the island and is globally associated with the country. And while the silhouette is rooted in movement, the vibrant red shades anchor the shoe in origin, linking it directly to Puerto Rican identity through a bold, everlasting symbol.

Ballerina low silhouette and personal branding
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, introduced the silhouette himself in 2024, establishing a new visual element within the sports brand’s visual language. A standout release for adidas Originals, the Ballerina is rooted in the company’s legendary Taekwondo model initially made for martial artists in the early 2000s. Featuring a high-in-demand low-profile silhouette, Vivid Red hues are paired with white accents. Premium suede overlays cover both the heel and toe of the shoe, improving the texture. A streamlined shape paired with bungee-cord laces provides a secure fit. Branding with the words Benito is located near the adidas’ signature Three Stripes mark, as well as on the special sizing tag on the exterior.

A flamboyant residency debut
Much like the BadBo 1.0 shoe first presented at the 2026 Super Bowl, the Vivid Red also had its debut in front of a wide audience. The rapper has already been spotted wearing the Vivid Red Ballerina during his sold-out residency in Puerto Rico. Titled “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí”, the widely publicised run comprises 30 concerts taking place between July and September 2025, as the shoes, together with their creator, reinforced their connection to the island and its cultural history.

adidas x Bad Bunny Ballerina in Vivid Red can be purchased on the CONFIRMED App, adidas website and selected retailers worldwide. Priced at $120, the silhouette combines the sporty DNA of adidas Originals with Bad Bunny recognizable aestetics and personal touches.
