In 2026, Brera Design Apartment will interpret design as a unique experience that combines relationship and meaningful connections. Longtime benchmark for brands and design professionals, the apartment will host invitation-only events that gather industry insiders.
Statement furniture in the Orizzont layout
The collaboration between Brera Design Week’s main showroom at Via Palermo no. 1 and the Orizzonti project will be integrated. Initially created for Fuorisalone 2025 by Zanellato/Bortotto studio, Orizzonti is a project that transforms five rooms in Brera Design Apartment into a narrative of materials, boundaries, and connections.
Ghidini1961 will employ its brand recognisable approach to design to amplify the atmosphere of the apartment with a curated selection of furniture and lighting. The design language of Ghidini1961 and that of Brera Design Apartment both share a vision rooted in the harmony between spatial experience, material sensitivity, and aesthetic appeal.
Mambo Sofa, and Suspension Lamp
Mambo Sofa takes the spotlight, shaping the vibrant and inviting lounge area. A modular space designed by Lorenza Bozzoli draws inspiration from dance. Its shape allows it to gracefully unfold in space, while the vibrant colour of velvet embodies the energy of tropical lands and Creole dancers’ costumes.
The Can Can Round Suspension Lamp, designed by Johanna Grawunder, further shapes the character of the space. Also inspired by dance, this time a dance that originated from France, the Can Can Round Suspension Lamp features multi-directional light that can be adjusted for maximum effect. With so many options for customisation, the Can Can Round Suspension Lamp can be compared to personalised choreography. With its adjustable light and eye-grabbing design, the lamp easily resides between a task, accent, and ambient light.
Ghidini1961 at Brera Design Week 2026
Founded in 2016 by the Italian company Ghidini Giuseppe Bosco, Ghidini1961 is known for combining traditional crafts with contemporary design. The company, renowned for using fine materials and metal die-casting, has decided to take on an active role during the upcoming Milan Design Week 2026. By understanding design as both culture and exchange, the brand will not only present products but also participate in platforms that nurture dialogue and meaningful relationships.
The Milan Design Week will run between April 20 and 26, 2026. Although centred around the Salone del Mobile, the Milan Design Week also includes Fuorisalone, a citywide event taking place in several city districts, including Brera. Brera Design Week is one of the most important district events taking place during Milan Design Week’s Fuorisalone, gathering top brands, designers, and installations. Ghidini1961 will be among thousands of participants and industry professionals who will present their work at numerous events held under the mould-breaking Milan Design Week umbrella.
